Faithful readers will remember my recent piece on Red Bull's Simply Cola, the non-alcoholic drink banned last month in parts of Western Europe due to the finding of .4 milligrams of cocaine in every can. I compared that story to Coca-Cola's struggle with the FDA in 1906 over whether or not Coke contained cocaine (which it did). In any event, figuring Simply Coca will eventually be banned here in the U.S., I went out and ordered a case. So tonight, at the beginning of the broadcast, I'll pop the top of a 12-ounce can and buckle up.
