It's been a Vicodin kinda week...

I had back surgery in 1998 to correct a badly-blown disc in the L-5 region of my spine. The surgery saved me from becoming a cripple, and I was very grateful. Over the intervening years my back has "gone out" on a fairly regular basis, but not to the point of requiring additional surgery - something I continue to be grateful for. But on those occasions, I've had to resort to eating handfuls of 10-mg Vicodins to get me through. Thankfully, I've a doctor unafraid to properly prescribe opiates for my condition. This past Sunday my back went out once again - and I've been eating Vicodins like M&Ms to keep the pain away.

So if I sound a bit out of it tonight, you'll know why...
