My conversation with Nick Sand
I trust that everyone who tuned in last night to hear Nick Sand enjoyed it. And for those who missed it, my conversation with Nick will be available shortly for free download from The Opium Den archives. Nick was very candid and expansive about his full and fascinating life. A must listen for anyone interested in psychedelics. Nick is one of very few original LSD visionaries still among us, and it was a true joy to speak with him.
More good news: Dieter Hagenbach, Albert Hofmann's longtime friend, will be speaking with me on Wednesday. Our first attempt had technical difficulties; very noisy background hiss, but I can tell you that the conversation was very illuminating. We'll get it right this time and add Dieter's interview alongside Nick's in our "Legends of LSD" collection.
This Thursday evening The Opium Den will continue our LSD theme. While Dieter and Nick spoke of LSDs beautiful side, my guest Thursday, Martin Lee, will discuss the ugly side. Martin wrote Acid Dreams, a chilling and accurate account of how our CIA attempted to use LSD as a tool for mind control. It failed, of course, as well all know LSD is prone to opening the mind, not controlling it...
Turn on and tune in Thursday night.
